”There are a million reasons to hire a coach. But there is one that is universally urgent – the harsh (thrilling) reality of the talent-based economy.   If you are not (RIGHT NOW) using your talents to add value to some person, project, or company, you are in danger of becoming economically extinct.”  Source:  www.Coachville.com

Larry Loomis - Halifax, Nova Scotia

Following the path of Conscious Evolution.

A brief story of Larry Loomis

I was born in a blue-collar rural area of Western Pennsylvania - raised with God, country, and family as the dominant cultural values – and went to a one room school house (with eight grades). These qualities stood the test of time through college (Economics Degree) and the U.S. Military 1964-1969 (pilot, infantry officer, airborne/ranger), and then brief employment with the C.I.A. After this experience, during the Vietnam era, I started to question these basic principles, which lead to extended travel through Europe, Middle East, back to the Far East and eventually to my becoming a Zen student and to studying in Japan.

On returning to the U.S., completing two more degrees (Philosophy & Religion) and a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology, I began to follow my own “path of consciousness”. Over the next 30 years of marriage, family, consulting with profit and non-profit organizations plus private clinical practice (also immigrating to Canada) I continued this evolving path.

Discovering Spiral Dynamics Integral (the “What”) has afforded me a context and a process for this conscious unfolding to take shape and direction. Now, more than ever, I have found in my working as a catalyst with individuals, teams, and organizations, it is necessary to commit to principles, performances, and practices (the “How”), that allow embodying new ways of being and acting successfully in these turbulent times.
