Faith West has coached executives, entrepreneurs, students, educators, and other professionals to take risks, and discover their next big thing.  She assists her clients in life planning, transitions, career development, and achieving professional excellence.  She also does meeting facilitations, bringing her coaching presence to brainstorming sessions and after action reviews - helping clients see the big picture and using a creative process to go from “good to great.”

Faith has seen it proven over and over, in her own life and in the life of her clients, that once the next big thing is uncovered and the commitment to is made to “step into it”, the magic begins.  She believes, as Goethe says, “The moment one definitely commits oneself, providence moves too.  All sorts of things occur to help one that would have never occurred.  A whole stream of events issues from the decision, raising in one’s favour all manner of unforeseen incidents and meetings and material assistance which no man could have dreamt would have come his way.  Whatever you can do, or dream you can, Begin It!  Boldness has genius, power, and magic in it.”

Faith is a graduate of The Adler School of Coaching.  She started her company, Higher Ground Coaching, in 2004.   She has been coaching and training informally and in her work with fortune 500 companies for over 15 years.  Prior to starting her company, Faith held positions with pharmaceutical, medical equipment, and consulting companies.  She has extensive experience in sales and marketing and as international director of client services to companies such as Pfizer, Amgen, Roche, Merck, Genentech, Biogen, Pharmacia, to name a few.

As a coach, freelance writer, and on-going student at Dalhousie University, Faith is a member of the International Coaching Federation (ICF), the Canadian Association of Journalists (CAJ), and Canadian Women in Business (CWB).

Faith lives in Halifax, Nova Scotia, but since she coaches in person and by telephone, her clients are worldwide.  She conducts on-going workshops and teleseminars on, “Igniting Your Passion” and “Building Your Risk-taking Muscles.”
